Care instructions
I designed these pieces to be worn, loved, and hopefully passed down one day. A little extra care will keep them looking beautiful for years to come.
Give your jewelry a bath every now and then (for diamonds and sapphires only).
Diamonds and sapphires can be cleaned with warm water, a tiny drop of dish soap, and a soft toothbrush. Gently scrub, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth. Other gemstones should not be soaked or scrubbed this way, as some stones are more delicate and require gentler care.
Jewelry’s biggest enemy is… other jewelry.
When pieces rub against each other, they can scratch. Store your jewelry separately whenever possible, whether that’s in individual compartments, soft pouches, or wrapped in a soft cloth while traveling. (Yes, even earrings should have their own personal space.)
Put your jewelry on last.
Perfume, hairspray, lotion, makeup… all of that first. Your jewelry should be the finishing touch before you walk out the door.
Take it off before getting your hands dirty.
Remove rings and bracelets before working out, cleaning, gardening, swimming, moving furniture, or doing anything that might knock them around.
A note on gemstones.
Not all gemstones are created equal. While sapphires, rubies, garnets, and tourmalines are durable enough for everyday wear, softer stones like turquoise, opal, pearl, malachite, lapis, and mother-of-pearl need a little extra love.
These stones can scratch, crack, or lose their polish more easily, so we recommend removing them before swimming, showering, exercising, or anything particularly hands-on. They’re also happiest when kept away from perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
When in doubt, treat your jewelry gently. It’ll love you back for years to come.
